On May 14th, 2019 Merced Mayor Mike Murphy, along with staff from the Stanislaus Habitat for Humanity and the City of Merced participated on the groundbreaking of a home located at 241 East Main Street.

The property was purchased with funds from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program by the City housing division. The property was sold to Habitat to be remodeled as part of the sweat equity program for an eligible household that hasn’t been selected yet.
