The Merced Sheriffs Department received about seven new 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe SUVs.

The state is currently picking these SUVs to be used by law enforcement agencies, Deputy Allen said.

The department will slowly add more to their fleet, the changes to their fleet come after Ford’s large recall of police vehicles, deputy Allen said.

No estimate of the cost of the new SUVs was immediately available.
