On April 7th, 2020, At approximately 11:05 p.m., Merced police responded to the area of Martin Luther King Jr Way and West 18th Street for several reports of multiple shots fired.
Officers searched the area and located an individual who was not breathing in the alleyway between West 18th and 19th streets and immediately started CPR.
Medical personnel arrived and continued life-saving measures to the individual, unfortunately, that individual succumbed and died at the scene.
At this time the appropriate age, race, or gender was not immediately available.
