Merced Police locate and chase a stolen Porsche from Alameda County

On January 1st, 2019 the Merced Police Department located a stolen Porsche Macan, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers from the Merced Police Department observed a black Porsche Macan near the intersections of Martin Luther King Jr Way and 16th street, the Porsche was stolen out of Alameda County.

Everett Blake Baker 22-year-old from Oakdale was arrested for leading Merced Police officers on a chase

Officers attempted a vehicle stop but the vehicle failed to yield and continued traveling southbound on Martin Luther King. The Porsche driver accelerated to over 100 mph and recklessly weaved in and around slower traffic. The suspect continued southbound on state route highway 59, The driver then attempted to turn left on Vassar and collided the vehicle into the fence of Holt Ag Solutions.

Officers continued with the pursuit on East Vassar Avenue with a disabled tire on the Porsche, the driver then drove into a home in the area of Vassar Avenue and Tyler Road crashing at a slow speed into a wood fence.

The driver leg bailed and officers chased him down into a back yard, he was held at gun till he was placed under arrest. The passenger of the Porsche stayed in the vehicle and was also placed under arrest. Both the Male driver and Female passenger were booked at the Merced County Jail.
