Man arrested on child pornography charges, this is what police say

According to the Atwater Police Department, 35-year-old Christopher Sanghera was arrested by Atwater Police on January 13th, 2020, an investigation revealed evidence that he installed a camera in the bathroom of a friend’s home, a bathroom that Sanghera allegedly knew was primarily used by the juveniles residing in the house.

Police were initially contacted by the mother of the children after she located the camera attached to a lighting fixture. Sanghera, a long-time family friend had visited the home on the evening of January 12th, 2020.

The mother was able to remove the SD card from the camera and found footage of Sanghera as he was installing the camera as well as separate footage of herself as she was getting dressed.

Detectives found more footage which showed two juveniles, at separate times, unclothing and taking a shower.

Sanghera was arrested at his home without incident and questioned by detectives prior to being booked at the Merced County Jail on charges of Possession of Child Pornography, Eavesdropping and Invasion of Privacy.
