On Thursday, September 20, 2018, the Merced Police Department Disruptive Area Response Team (DART) developed information that Franklin Baer 32-year-old, was selling drugs at a room at the Motel 6 Suites in Merced. DART and GVSU and officers served a search warrant at Baer’s room. During the search, officers located over 15 grams of heroin, digital scales, packaging material, and seized over $2600 in cash. Baer was arrested for sales of narcotics and booked at the Merced County jail.
