On August 13 2018, at approximately 5:00pm Los Banos CHP Officer Alvarez was investigating a collision on SR-33 at Village Market, Santa Nella.

An uninvolved party approached Officer Alvarez advising him about an abandoned puppy left on the side of the road. Officer Alvarez took the puppy to the Los Banos Veterinary clinic, purchasing a special blend of food and bottle fed the little guy.

A few hours later, Elizabeth inquired about adopting the puppy, possibly naming him “Chip”.
