The Merced County Coroners Office has released the identity of the individual involved in an officer-involved shooting after as 33-year-old Rene Fuentes from Livingston, according to the Merced Sheriffs public information officer Britton.
Authorities say Fuentes died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head after reviewing video surveillance.
Deputies were able to determine that a Livingston police officer fired one shot at the occupants of the vehicle. No officers were injured during this incident.
