The weather is certainly getting warmer and they are gearing up for a busy boating season on Bass Lake. Here are a few friendly reminders from MCSO about boating safety on Bass Lake. Boats are required to have valid state registration and a valid 2017 Madera County Pollution Control Permit sticker attached to your boat all year long prior to launching on Bass Lake. You can purchase your Pollution Permit from Bass Lake Boat Rentals, The Forks Resort or Millers Landing.
Please be reminded that during the Fishing Derby on May 6th and 7th all ordinances and codes will be enforced as usual. Please be courteous to fishermen who are boating at slow speeds during the derby.
As always be safe on the water, respect the safety of other boaters and wear your life vest.
