At risk 62-year-old goes missing from Atwater care home

On February 15, 2019, at approximately 1:06PM The Merced County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6000 block of Atwater Jordan Road in Atwater in regards to a missing person report. This is a home for dependent adults with social workers on sight to help take care of the residence.

62-year-old Timothy Connolly left the residence at about 11:30AM. Staff had very limited information on Connolly because he had just arrived to the Atwater residence a couple of days ago from Mariposa.

Patrol Deputies, Search and Rescue Volunteers, and a Sheriff K-9 searched the local businesses and surrounding areas. An employee at McDonalds said Connolly was last seen walking west on Bell Drive towards the Arco Gas Station. At this time, Connolly has not been located.

We would like the public’s help in locating Connolly. The attached photograph was taken earlier today and Connolly was wearing the same clothing when he walked away from the home.

Additionally, Connolly is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. If you see Connolly, please contact the Merced County Sheriff’s Office at 209-385-7445.

UPDATE: The Merced County Sheriff's Office has received information that Connolly may have boarded an Amtrak train…
