On February 1, 2021, at around 6:33 P.M., the Merced police department received an emergency call regarding a domestic dispute involving a firearm.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Brittany Way and met with the victim. Officers learned 37-year-old Jee Thor threatened the victim while holding a loaded shotgun.

The victim and family members were able to escape the residence, but it was believed based on statements from the victim that Thor was still inside the residence.

After an hour-long standoff, Thor was taken into custody without incident. The firearm was recovered. Thor was later booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s jail for making terrorist threats.
