Officers from the Merced police department arrested several juvenile gang members after a traffic stop.

The police department said, On April 9th, 2020, at approximately 3:12 p.m., officers with the Gang Violence Suppression Unit stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1300 block of G Street.

Police say four Hispanic male juveniles were located in the vehicle.

Officers searched the vehicle and located two loaded firearms and marijuana in containers.

All of the juveniles are validated gang members, police said. The juveniles were booked at juvenile hall for possession of firearms in a vehicle and gang enhancements.
