The California Highway Patrol announced that they have made an arrest regarding the hit and run fatality claiming the life of Frankie Sanchez.
20-year-old Jesus Antonio Flores from Delhi CA, was placed under arrest by the Modesto Area CHP on April 9th, 2020.
Flores was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter.
On April 1, 2020, at approximately 6:50 am, Frankie Sanchez from Patterson was riding his bike westbound on Marshall Road, along the north roadway edge, approaching Tulip Avenue.
Jesus Antonio Flores was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Marshall Road, approaching Mr. Sanchez. The right front of the Chevrolet struck Mr. Sanchez and his bicycle, propelling him to the north shoulder.
Jesus Flores continued westbound on Marshall Road, leaving the collision scene and Mr. Sanchez.
The CHP and allied agencies throughout Stanislaus County received several tips from the public.
Investigators worked diligently on all leads. In the end, a specific tip led officers to Jesus Antonio Flores and ultimately his arrest.
The Modesto Area CHP would like to thank everyone who reached out to them regarding this tragic incident. Your involvement was instrumental in the apprehension of Jesus Antonio Flores.
