On February 15th, 2020, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the City of Merced Fire Department firefighters responded to the area of East Childs Avenue and Parsons for a report of a structure fire.

Upon arrival, officers located a small closet fire at the former double shot espresso.

The fire was immediately contained and only minor damage was caused to the structure according to Battalion Chief Franklin.

The fire remains under investigation, Franklin said during a phone call with Merced Gateway News.
