15-year-old dies at Turlock Park, police say alcohol consuming could be related to his death

Turlock Police Department Detectives are investigating the death of a 15-year-old male who was found in a park unresponsive.

According to the Turlock School yearbook page on Facebook, Estevan Nuno is the 15-year-old that was found not breathing at the Crane park.

On October 21, 2019, Officers were notified about a juvenile male not breathing at Crane Park in the 1500 block of East Canal, at about 8:22 p.m.

Officers arrived on scene within minutes and immediately began to administer C.P.R. on the juvenile.

Turlock Fire Department personnel, along with AMR paramedics took over C.P.R., but despite life-saving measures, the juvenile died.

Turlock Police Department Detectives were called out to assist with the investigation.

Preliminary information provided to Detectives indicate that the juvenile was at Crane Park with friends consuming alcohol when he stopped breathing.

It is too early in the investigation to know if alcohol was a contributing factor in his death. Witnesses on scene have been cooperative with this investigation.

The juvenile was a sophomore at Turlock High School. Turlock Unified School District administrators were notified of this incident and they have counselors on hand to assist students with this tragedy.
