The boy who was struck and killed by a train in Merced on the Santa Fe tracks West of G street on Thursday at around 3:45 p.m. has been identified as Vicente Mancera, according to the Merced County Sheriffs Office.

The Merced Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the case to contact Detective Sergeant Alvarez at 209-385-6905.
