On Friday evening, at around 8:20, Officers from the Merced Police Department and the Merced Sheriffs Department were in the 600 block of West 11th Street, where authorities have arrested Miguel Campos.

Campos was wanted on several felony charges for shooting at a moving vehicle.

On July 6th, 2021, at around 1:54 p.m., Merced Police officers responded to the 1100 block of R Street for reports of a vehicle that was struck by gunfire.

While officers checked the area for additional victims and evidence, officers were approached by a witness who provided a video and pictures of the suspect.

Through the course of the investigation, officers were able to positively identify the suspect as 20-year-old Miguel Campos. Loop
