Merced police are investigating a report of a gunshot victim at the Mercy hospital.

Officers responded to Mercy Hospital at around 9:57 Monday night for reports of a gunshot victim.

When the first officer arrived, he advised that the victim had a gunshot wound to the right arm.

The victim is being uncooperative with officers and refuses to talk to them, the victim is beloved to be in his 20’s, it’s unknown if it could be self-inflicted. No further information is available.
