On March 13th, 2019, at approximately 5:18 p.m., the Merced Police Department received a call of shots fired inside Sams Smoke Shop located at 1220 R street in Merced.

The dispatcher advised officers that at least three shots were fired inside the business. Officers arrived on scene and searched several blocks in the area for the suspect. No description of the suspect is currently available.

Several businesses with cameras got checked by detectives. It is unknown if anyone was arrested at the time of this post, no injuries were reported. This is a developing story, stay tuned.
