Two women from Merced accused of retail theft arrested in Fresno

On December 10, 2022, just after 2:30 p.m., CHP Central Division Investigators were informed that two female adults had run out of the Kohl’s shopping center located at 3699 West Shaw Avenue in Fresno, with several bags of clothing.

A detailed description of the vehicle was provided and investigators responded and quickly located the suspect vehicle.

After conducting an enforcement stop and contacting the two female adult occupants, investigators observed in plain sight a large amount of clothing on hangers and with security sensors still affixed within the vehicle.

The two female adults were placed under arrest and booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of grand theft, second-degree, burglary, and organized retail theft.

Both women got out of jail on the 0-bail law, they spent a total of 10 hours in custody. Both were from Merced.
